Effective Date: April 9, 2026
MortalLoom is built on a simple principle: your health data is yours. No accounts, no logins, no data collection, no telemetry, no third-party tracking. Your data stays on your device and in your iCloud — never on our servers (we don't have any).
MortalLoom stores all your data locally on your device in the app's Documents directory as a JSON file. If you have iCloud enabled, a copy is also stored in your private iCloud Drive container for cross-device sync. We have no access to either copy.
MortalLoom can read health data from Apple Health with your permission, including steps, heart rate, HRV, sleep stages, VO2 max, and cardio recovery. This data is processed entirely on your device to calculate health metrics and trends. It is never transmitted to any server.
MortalLoom may request your location once to determine your country, which adjusts life expectancy calculations based on regional healthcare data. Only the country code is stored — GPS coordinates are never saved or transmitted. You can also select your country manually without granting location access.
If you upload genome data (e.g., from 23andMe), it is stored locally on your device and optionally in your iCloud container. Genome analysis, including ClinVar cross-referencing, is performed entirely on-device. Your genetic data is never transmitted to any external server.
MortalLoom does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. Specifically, we do not collect:
MortalLoom offers an optional one-time Pro unlock via Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID. For information about how Apple handles purchase data, please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy.
MortalLoom does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. There are no SDKs, pixels, or external scripts in the app. The only network request the app makes is an optional download of the public ClinVar database from NCBI for genome analysis.
MortalLoom does not require any account creation, login, or authentication. You can use the full app without providing any personal information.
You can export your data as a JSON backup file at any time from the app's Settings. This file is stored locally and shared only through methods you choose (AirDrop, Files, etc.).
MortalLoom does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app contains no social features, user-generated content sharing, or external communication mechanisms.
You can delete all your data at any time using the "Reset All Data" option in Settings. Uninstalling the app also removes all locally stored data. iCloud data can be removed via your iCloud Drive settings.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
